"My first publishing credit came from Throttle: The Magazine of Acceleration for the Eighties, a local alternative paper. I held my first two shows, called My Hidden Agenda, at Carytown Coffee and Tea in Richmond, Virginia during the months of May, 1985 and May, 1986.
In 1988 I became the first member of the Savannah Art Association [mostly painters] to sell a photograph from a juried show. During our Summer Olympic Games, I was included in Alston & Bird's Summer 1996 book, edited by Gudmund Vigtel, director emeritus of High Museum of Art, and Alex Harris, editor of Doubletake. Later, I also held an exhibit entitled, Silver Secrets, at The Cup and Chaucer of Oxford Bookstore in Atlanta.
Three years later I revived Silver Secrets at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, a Tudor manor built by an heir to the Coca Cola fortune and which currently operates as an arts resource. One image went on to be included in Artforms: A Premier Visual and Performing Arts Exhibition, held during October of 1999 at Saint Philip's Cathedral in Atlanta. That exhibition was juried by Gordon Anderson, Polly Hunt Neal and Alan Tiegreen." |
