River Dialogue: Earth

Stewardship of the earth;
Increasing globalization has helped facilitate a new dynamic in our environment. The world's resources used to be managed by independent countries and governments. Now we live under a new umbrella, with corporations and large companies in control of production. Manufacturing has relocated to the countries with the cheapest labour. Sadly, mother earth is becoming an expendable commodity. So who are the stewards of the earth?

Our resources feed us, sustain us, provide heat and fuel, material for housing, roads and infrastructures, and maintain a delicate balance of homeostasis. Being interdependent with and reliant on these resources, it is our responsibility to look toward the future.

A question mark for the future...
